About The Artist

Guillermo Chaviano (b. 1975) Cuban artist based in Miami, known for his work in various artistic mediums, including illustration, painting, sculpting, murals and tattoo.
Chaviano's artistic foundation was shaped by his studies at the Santa Clara Academy of Fine Art and later at the Academy of Fine Arts in Trinidad, Cuba, where he collaborated with notable Cuban artists. His talent gained early recognition when he exhibited at the Centro Cultural Ricardo Palma in Lima, Peru, showcasing La Muerte y el Tiempo, a diptych reflecting his fascination with time, mortality, and spirituality. This multidisciplinary journey naturally extended to tattooing, where he transformed human skin into a living canvas, allowing his work to move beyond traditional spaces. Whether through ink, paint, or sculpture, Chaviano’s art challenges conventions, inviting audiences to engage with his evolving narrative.
Guillermo is also the owner and a tattoo artist at Divergent Ink, a tattoo shop established in 2015.
